Tehillim 27
The Lord is my light
and my hello
In psalm 27
enemies are named in 10 forms or 10 times:
méréim (criminals)
tsarai (my adversaries)
oyevai (my enemies)
ma'haneh (a camp)
mil'hama (army in war)
oyevai (my enemies)
chorerai (who look askance at me)
tsarai (my persecuting adversaries)
êdé chéqér (false witnesses)
iféa'h 'hamas (prompter of violence).
And everything is summed up in an 11th term:
yom raâ i.e. "evil day", "bad".
Faced with this, King David makes ten direct requests:
-
shema listen
-
honni be conducive to me
-
ânneni answer me
-
âl taster paneikha do not hide your face
-
âl tach-bé af âvdekha do not reject Your servant with anger
-
âl tichéni do not leave me
-
âl taâzévéni do not abandon me
-
horeni guide me
-
neheni direct me
-
al-titténéni does not deliver me.
And 2 indirect requests:
-
avaqéche chivti "I ask to stay"
-
la'hazote "to contemplate" which is in fact the key and the solution.

From David
The Lord is my light
And my greetings:
Who am I afraid of?
There is one thing I ask the Lord
that I earnestly demand
is to stay
In the house of the Lord
all the days of my life
to contemplate
The splendor of the Lord
And to frequent
His sanctuary
Chorus
שְׁמַע-יְהוָה קוֹלִי
אֶקְרָא; וְחָנֵּנִי וַעֲנֵנִי.
Listen, Lord
My voice calling you
be conducive to me
And hear me!
